Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at the tie down spare tire mount with included hub. So folks, oftentimes at the front of your trailer, the tongue area, you have a lot of stuff really vying for space, whether it's brake controllers nowadays, toolboxes, propane bottles, weight distribution kits and brackets, jacks, junction boxes for wiring, there's just a lot of stuff. So I wanna make sure today that I give you enough dimensions that you know you're gonna be able to clear all that stuff, but also to show you, this kind of goes up and out, so it's gonna help put that spare tire away. And what's cool about this kit is that it comes with the included hub. It does feature a five on four and a half inch lug pattern, and it does come already pre-greased with everything you need.

It comes with the inner and outer bearing. It comes with the seal. It is a marine grade seal, so it is made this hub can go into water. And this is a Dexter branded hub itself. The whole unit is a tie down brand, manufacturer brand.

And as you can see, you have a couple different U-bolts. This can work with up to three inch wide and four inch tall frames so that you can get this installed. And again, it comes with a nice hub already ready to go. So you won't have to worry about making a service call or getting a tow if you have a breakdown or a blowout of a bearing or something. Now, you can just take this hub off along with your spare tire, and you'll have a spare tire as well, all ready to go.

So peace of mind, you're gonna save time. Like I said, you're not gonna be stuck on the side of the road, so it really is a great idea and a great addition for any trailer in my opinion. Now this hub is designed to work with most 3,500 pound axles. So those bearing numbers I put on the screen earlier, those are a one and one 16th and one and three eighth inch bearings that sit on that spindle. So again, folks, easy installation, you have the included U bolt, you have some different holes here, so if you want to purchase separately or if you already have a security cable with a lock even, that'll be something you can do to keep everything nice and safe.

So let's start with some dimensions coming across this back plate here. This is the plate that's gonna be right next to the frame that I mentioned earlier. And this one's gonna be, it looks right at about five and a half inches wide and seven and a quarter inches tall. And that's pretty much right here where that curve is. So that should give you some idea. And again, obviously your frame's gonna be up to three inches wide max, so you should already know that measurement. As far as an overall height, I went from the flat plane up to this, you know, so I got 12 and seven eighth inches tall. On a length, I went from the back of this plate all the way up here to the front and I got 11 inches long that way. And the widest part that I could measure was the hub itself. And that hub phase straight across diameter is six and a half inches in diameter. So again folks, this is the tie down square mount with included hub, again, zinc plated, corrosion resistant.
